the kms190

The kms190 is the smallest in km acoustics ti range. Six litres of pure engineering, from the titanium bass driver to the tioxid inverted dome tweeter.

Drivers
At the heart of the kms190 is a bass driver made of pure titanium, with a cast basket with large aperture, a rear vented twin magnet assembly, and an open voice coil with phase plug. This has the responsibility of reproducing the critical part of the frequency spectrum from 70Hz to over 4kHz.
The tweeter then takes over the upper frequencies using its tioxid dome, with 20mm voice coil and double magnet assembly, offering an uncoloured, dynamic listening window through which to view the aural picture.

Cabinet

The reflex cabinet is of MDF construction with internal bracing helping to control cabinet flexure, and veneered with real wood veneers.
The sculptured front baffle is 40mm thick, its staggered design providing time alignment, and the sloping edges reducing edge diffraction.

Crossover
A high order crossover at 4.5kHz optimises both on and off axis response.
Components in the crossover network are carefully selected for their performance: air cored coils, polypropylene capacitors, gold plated connectors...

Veneer options
Cherry, maple, walnut, rosenut, light oak.
